A visit to my sister in Kansas can also involve a visit to one of my favorite LYS - The Yarn Barn of Kansas. One could argue that a store in Kansas is not local to me, but I submit that because it’s in my sister’s hometown, I shop there nearly as often as if it was in my home state.
On this visit, I was overcome by yarn fumes, and completely forgetting what I went in for (wooden cable needles), I got caught up picking colors for my next project.
I wound up buying yarn that won’t do at all, not least because I didn’t buy enough. Not that any yarn ever goes to waste, but still.

It's a _souvenir_, that's always a legitimate expenditure!
