I had to buy a skein of yarn to finish one of the legacy projects, and wound up with a skein of acrylic I didn't want to store. I picked out a baby sweater that I had nearly enough yardage for, and figured I'd just find some worsted acrylic to finish it off with.
It turned out better than I expected.
Yarn: Loops & Threads Impeccable Solids in Petunia, less a few yards, and some green worsted acrylic
Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm)
Pattern: Linden Downs' Baby & Child Sophisticate
I was pleased when I ran out of Petunia right at the end of the bind off, and just had the button band and collar to do in green. But that looked a little stark, so I duplicate-stitched some green around the edges.

Love the green edging. Like lovely frilly lettuce.
