A Difficult Yarn

I bought this yarn many years ago (it has since been discontinued), for no better reason than that it was pretty in the skein.

I've tried a couple of times to knit it up into a shawl, and never liked the results. So I rewound it back into balls, which resulted in a plaid even prettier than the skeins.

But it knits up into blotches of color, and it's hard to find a pattern that is both fine with that, and okay with lace weight silk.

I think I've done it, though. Stay tuned.
