Flashback Fridays

To no one's surprise, I did not blog much in 2016. I did, however, knit, with the result that there's a whole slew of projects that never had their day in the sun. So here we go.

Although I mentioned problems with it here, I never showed off this beautiful child's smocked sweater, possibly the sweetest thing I've ever made.

Yarn: Berroco Vintage DK, one of my favorite yarns to work with, in Beige
Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) and US 6 (4.00mm)
Pattern: Princess Child's Smocked Cardigan, size 4
Mods: I made Tulip buttonholes

and my own buttons(!)

I love this sweater so much, and it lives in the box because I don't currently know any 4-year-old princesses.

Edit: turns out I already blogged about this!

My two-year-old princess would probably be happy to wear it in another year or so. She continues to appropriately adore all the hand knits in her life (even those originally knit for her big sister).
